3-Ingredient Blueberry Cobbler
With the holidays around the corner, many of us are looking for inspo for new, tasty, and easy-to-make desserts. The faster a dessert is to make, the easier it is for us.
I recently made this blueberry cobbler for a Halloween party, and it was a hit! It's a sweet and salty delight that is really easy to make.Ingredients
- 12–16 oz frozen blueberries
- 1 box of cake mix (any kind works, but I prefer white)
- 6–8 oz salted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cobbler mix. Mix room-temperature or slightly melted butter with your cake mix until crumbly. The more butter you add, the moister (and saltier!) your cobbler will be. I prefer to use 8 oz of Aldi's Countryside Creamery Spreadable Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt.
- Pour the blueberries in the baking pan. Once your mix is combined, set it aside and pour your frozen blueberries into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. The more blueberries you add, the less rich your cobbler will be. I prefer to use 12 oz. However, adding more blueberries also means bigger dessert portions.
- Add the cobbler topping. Using your hands, sprinkle the cobbler mix over the blueberries. Distribute the crumble evenly, breaking up any really large chunks as you go. Try to keep the largest chunk about the size of a gumball from a candy machine.
- Bake. Once the oven has finished preheating, place the baking pan on the middle rack. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the cobbler is a light golden color. For a crispier cobbler, bake for longer in 3-minute intervals until you reach your desired texture.
- Cool and serve. Once the cobbler is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10–15 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
This three-ingredient blueberry cobbler is my favorite because it is so quick and easy to make. During the holidays, it feels like the cleaning never ends. Why not make your life just a tad bit easier and give this recipe a try this holiday season!
